J and I tagged along with his sister's family for an overnight stay at The Farm at San Benito. I could use any excuse to ditch everything (including doctor's appointments, actually) to be anywhere near as calming as The Farm and so I did.
Their breakfast fare kept me full til late afternoon.
After breakfast and a quick nap, we headed to the Spa supposedly just for a quick dip in their infinity pool that faced this:
...but then it rained and got too cold to swim, and on my way to the restroom I saw how beautiful the massage rooms were. J had their basic relaxing massage and I had their prenatal massage (which isn't listed in their menu of services, by the way, so ask the Spa ladies for this service). Both services cost Php 3,800 for 60 minutes. Both, fabulous.
The next morning, we woke up at 5.45 am (I blame both old age and excitement) to watch the peacocks fly down the tree where they all huddle together at night. We caught them just in time. I don't know if you can see from the photo, but, there they are all lined up like airplanes in an airport, waiting for a signal (from a senior peacock, perhaps?) that the landing area is clear. Very organized, very precise.
The Farm at San Benito is located at 119 Barangay Tipakan, 4217 Lipa City, Batangas, Philippines.
